Last month I announced that the Faith Development Committee would be unveiling a multigenerational Religious Education Program for this year. We are excited to be bringing a program to the congregation that will help us share our values and experiences across the generations and we very much hope that many of you will be joining in this program with us. Pizzas and Principles is a program designed at Meadville Lombard by the Fahs Collaborative. As Unitarian Universalists we do not have a creed but a set of principles that each congregation has voted on upholding as a value system. Each month starting in October we will examine one of the seven principles and do a workshop surrounding how we live out that value. These workshops will take place during coffee hour on our potluck Sundays. So, there might not always be pizza but there will always be thought provoking discussions and a deepening of our understanding of our chosen faith tradition. We do hope that you will join us for all of our workshops, but it isn’t needed as each is a stand-alone event. More information will be shared in the e-update leading up to each workshop. If you have any questions, please contact me.
Teachers are needed for Sunday morning Religious Education this year. If you would like to work with our amazing students, please contact Erin Rockafellow as soon as possible.
Coming in October is a continuation of Bible Study with David Clement.
