Finding Focus: October

Parents this year we are asking you to volunteer in the elementary classroom as a helper. Each

room has a teacher for each week but an extra set of hands is always a joy to have. You will get to see how the classrooms work together, the values that we teach and the lessons that your students learn. You will get to learn along side your students and it will let your students know you are invested in their religious development. Please see Erin Rockafellow to sign up if you haven’t been able to yet.

Starting October 15th at 12pm Parents As Spiritual Guides will be starting up. ‘Unitarian Universalists have many definitions and interpretations of the word spiritual. We urge you to honor yours, and in the company of seekers, to enrich and enhance your own spiritual growth.’Even if you have taken this class previously please join us to review it and bring your new stage of development to the table. Creating a home with Unitarian Universalist values takes a lot of work but you are not in this alone. Faith Development Committee will provide lunch for your family for the first meeting.

October 17th Night Service 6pm. Join us for a service based in story and song with the theme of ‘Courage’. Please join us for this non-traditional service for a midweek pick-me-up.
